I < 3 NY

The title says it all. I have always had an infatuation with New York and this past trip solidified my love for the City.

My main goal was to help my sister move into her Lower East Side apartment, but the rest of the time was spent exploring. Here's a quick guide to some cool places in NYC (foodie edition!)

-----

Scallops + Bok Choi + Sweet Potato Mash

Bantam Bagels in Greeley Square Park. (bagel holes will cream cheese inside)

CharrĂșa. Love the decor! and the #‎ChivitoWednesdays‬ deal.

Clinton Street Baking Co. (aka. The highlight meal of the trip!) Best pancakes and biscuits. My dad, who never says he likes the food actually said that the pancakes "were pretty good." WHAT?!? You know your food is good when the toughest critic gives you a compliment.

The rest of the day was spent window shopping in SoHo.

Mid-day snack at the Chobani Cafe. I tried the Chobani Flip Key Lime Crumble and it was surprisingly very tasty. The Key Lime was pretty strong but not overpowering and the chocolate + graham added a little crunch.

Dinner at Delicatessen with MacBar's Mediterranean mac n' cheese.

Starting the day off with a salmon bagel and macchiato at Atlas Cafe.

Washington Square Park

Chelsea Market

Classic ice cream shot in my favorite NYC spot, Central Park

The Mall, Central Park

Bethesda Fountain

Side door of The Boathouse

Conservatory Water (mini boat sailing)

Top of the MET

Laduree + macaroons!

Back in Central Park

A New York City visit isn't a visit without Shake Shack (is it killing anyone else that the straw isn't vertical?)

Ivan Ramen. A little expensive for the amount of food but really delicious

Update

Sorry! I usually post Thursdays, but it completely slipped my mind. I hope you don't mind being one day late.

I have a post already set up but it is again another Travel blog. I don't want to exhaust you with so many so this post is a little bit of a refresher. I started summer school earlier this week. I am taking Speech and Web Development, which I am super excited about. If you don't know, I did a little bit of amateur coding on this blog but I wanted to have a more professional setting and gain a more progressional knowledge of HTML/CSS rather than Google search how to do something and finding the easy way out. I am the type of person who wants to know how to do it and know why I am doing it.

Next week I will have a post up about my recent trip to New York City (my favorite city!). My main focus was to help my sister move into her new apartment, but after getting my hands dirty and moving furniture all around the island, we had time to explore the city. After having done a lot of research, there was so many awesome place we went to and things that we did. I can't wait to show you, next week, everything we did in the Big Apple.

xo, Katherine

Goodbye Amsterdam

Another trip. But this time a short one, and more for business than play.. Currently I'm in New York helping my big sister move in to her apartment. Hopefully we'll have some downtime to eat at some cute restaurants and shop at small boutiques.

But to finally wrap up Amsterdam, here is the third and last part of our Amsterdam trip.

-----

Starting the day with a chocolate chip muffin from the supermarket. Love their supermarkets, smells so good!

After a light breakfast and walking around for a few hours, by recommendation, we ate at the The Pancake Bakery.

Called proffertjes. They are like fluffy mini pancakes. They may seem light, but they were actually pretty heavy. I definitely struggled with finishing my entire meal. For sure, a full meal in it of itself.

My favorite house in Amsterdam. Love the colors and all the hardware. And right on the famous and beautiful Prinsengracht.

Little homeware boutique on Prinsengracht called Artymaz.

Afternoon rain and a canal tour.

Apparently the narrowest house in Amsterdam.

Early morning bus ride to Centraal Station.

Buying train ticket to airport.

Done. Amsterdam all wrapped up. Amsterdam was definitely deserves a spot on my top ten vacations just for the sights alone. The people were so friendly and the food was delicious. Looking forward to another trip to Amsterdam.
