Favorite Song
Well, to be honest, the reason I am posting this blog post is because I am completely in love with this song and I don't even want to know how many times I've listened to this song. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that breakup/love songs can help people through life situations, but it is very refreshing to hear this song. I don't want to analyze this song too much, but it is basically about coming to terms with mistakes made in the past and willingness to pay the price for those wrongdoings. Like any and all human beings, we make mistakes and I love how this song doesn't have a happy ending, but a real dilemma and a real outcome.
Favorite Clothing Item
I'm studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain right now and I've gone shopping a few times already. I can access some of these stores back in the States, but since Mango and Zara are Spanish brands, they are slightly cheaper here. As I write this, I've only worn them once and bought them this past Friday, but I can already tell that I am going to get a lot of use out of them. These shoes from Stradivarius are what I was looking for for ages. I wanted a low heel black bootie with an almond toe, and that is what I got. I can't speak about the longevity of these shoes, but they are stylish and fairly comfortable.
Favorite Show
I discovered the song above from my favorite show, Suits. Suits has actually been my favorite show for years now. In fact, between White Collar and Suits, I'm not sure which show I like better (I guess I really like USA Network shows in general). The combination of wit, high stakes, and the location make it the perfect trifecta. New York has been my favorite city since I was little and I've always wanted to live there. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to live in a sky high apartment like Harvey Specter, but it's nice to dream. The comedy paired with the intensity of each decision makes this show very enticing. The season finale will take place this Wednesday and I'm so excited!
Favorite Place
I know I have already listed New York City as the top spot, but I have been loving Barcelona. I've been here for 2 months now and it has been an amazing experience. This city is awesome because so many things are so close by and within walking distance. There are so many restaurants, grocery stores, even a park nearby. The weather is usually sunny and warm, which is very different from the winters that I am usually accustomed to in Illinois. I'm pretty used to this nice weather and I kind of feel like a Californian who thinks 50 degrees is cold. Another thing I love is how much they love their dogs. I have never seen so many dog shops around. Owner take their dogs out without a leash and it is crazy how well behaved the dogs are. They follow their owners and don't get distracted. The food is amazing, the fashion is amazing, and the people are amazing. I will be very sad to return home. I can't believe that I only have one more month here.
